Radiopharmaceutical Research

Missouri is home to the world’s most important university research reactor for fighting cancer. Last year, 1.6 million patients benefited from medical isotopes produced at the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR).

Since its creation in 1988, the MURR Archaeometry Laboratory has been continuously funded by the National Science Foundation – and has collaborated on more than 500 archaeological research projects around the world.
