Jim Milligan is currently serving as the Senior Director of Facility Operations at the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR). In this role, Jim oversees all aspects of facility maintenance, engineering, work management and skilled trades, including hot cell maintenance, instrumentation, and a machine shop. 

Prior to this role, Jim worked at Callaway Energy Center – Ameren in several roles.  Most recently he was the Plant Engineering Director, responsible for systems, programs, and the Engineering FIN team (fix-it-now). He established the engineering FIN team to promptly respond and address urgent plant issues. Jim also served as the Recovery Manager, where he led a leadership team to identify and implement actions to return the plant to top industry performance following the facilities performance decline.

Jim has a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Illinois and has held a Senior Reactor Operator license.
