From its discovery in 1936, to confirming how Napoleon Bonaparte was assassinated, to determining the Earth had been struck by a sizeable asteroid or comet, Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA) has become essential to finding and sampling element concentrations in large amounts of materials.

MURR staff utilizes NAA and Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICPMS) for qualitative and quantitative elemental analysis of multiple major, minor and trace elements in solid, liquid and gaseous samples.

  • Made possible are applications in archaeological, environmental, forensic, nutritional epidemiological, pharmaceutical materials analysis and semiconductor materials.
  • MURR also provides clinical grade analytical services in support of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Good Laboratory Practices (GLP.)
