MURR'S Analytical Chemistry Staff —Lab Manager

Vickie Spate is the lab manager for the Analytical Chemistry group at the University of Missouri Research Reactor (MURR). Ms. Spate joined the MURR team in 1970 and has worked in both the reactor chemistry and trace element epidemiology programs where she gained experience in gamma spectroscopy, neutron radiography, x-ray radiography, and radiolysis.

In 1988 Ms. Spate moved to the analytical chemistry group. Utilizing her 30+ years of experience in nuclear analysis, she is currently responsible for method development and project management of our neutron activation analysis services. Ms. Spate has published over 50 papers in her career.
